Part of the series Tracing Lines:

Featuring grids lines and segments, these paintings explore the patterns in life cycles. They are inspired by the cyclical repetition across generations, creating an imperfect, yet connected storyline.

In this painting, the line work is reminiscent of stitching. I’ve always loved sewing and textile work, and it shows up from time to time in my painting. I love the variability of stitches done by hand, which is highlighted in the sinuous line work. I feel, particularly this month, a great need for loving and meaningful mending.
